Shoko Kashima is a dancer, impro\u00adviser, pho\u00adtog\u00adra\u00adpher and teacher Tokyo. She received her Mas\u00adter of Arts in Dance Edu\u00adca\u00adtion from Ochan\u00ado\u00admizu Uni\u00adver\u00adsity in Tokyo and founded the dance com\u00adpany ZIN\u00adZOLIN in 1996. In 2000 she cre\u00adated the part\u00adner\u00adship \u201cDuo unit\u201d with Ryoko Sug\u00adi\u00admoto, while also being awarded a one year schol\u00adar\u00adship from the Japan\u00adese Gov\u00adern\u00adment Over\u00adseas Study Pro\u00adgram for Artists to study dance in New York. Their works were selected for per\u00adfor\u00admance by Joyce SOHO Presents, DUMBO Fes\u00adti\u00adval, The Brook\u00adlyn Museum of Art and The Cool NY 2004 Dance Fes\u00adti\u00adval in NY. After return\u00ading to Japan, Shoko began work\u00ading with Chico Kat\u00adsube as a mem\u00adber \u2014 and now co-\u200bdirector \u2014 of Con\u00adtact Impro\u00advi\u00adsa\u00adtion Group C.I.co. In 2006, She founded the CIFJ (Con\u00adtact Impro\u00advi\u00adsa\u00adtion Fes\u00adti\u00adval Japan) with Chico and con\u00adtin\u00adues to orga\u00adnize and cre\u00adate the inter\u00adna\u00adtional CI fes\u00adti\u00adval to exchange cul\u00adture, peo\u00adple, essence of CI in Japan. She has been teach\u00ading CI at kinder\u00adgartens, ele\u00admen\u00adtary schools, uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adties, pub\u00adlic the\u00adaters and muse\u00adums.
