Allen Lam obtained his MFA from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. He was also a graduate from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. Lam has performed and choreographed in the United States and Hong Kong.

In 1995, Lam co-founded DanceArt. He has received “Hong Kong Dance Award” twice, in 2001 and 2005 respectively.

In 2004, he founded Muse Motion and produced Vibration in Stillness. Together with Gabriel Fung and Franky Lung, he produced Twirling Haze and Angels Within.

Lam also staged his solo production Space With Shapes, which is presented by the LCSD in the Hong Kong Stories series. Allen created a splendid production Rhapsody In Dance in 2007. Recently, he produced and choreographed Moments in the Palm of your Hand with an actor, Tony Wong.
